Spooky and his sister Boo were abandoned by their owners at a high kill shelter in North Carolina. Obviously this very senior pair was not likely to make it out alive, despite being friendly and gentle. A mistake by the shelter kept them apart while they were being housed there, and our rescue wasn't aware that Boo was even in need of help- she almost missed transport to safety with Spooky. Luckily someone realized she was about to be left behind, and we scrambled to make space.

Sadly, we lost Boo due to advanced age several months after she came to us. Spooky is missing his sister but he enjoys the company of the other cats in the foster room. He is in good health and loves affection, and we are hoping to place him in a real home where he can live out his golden years.
